The DNA of a Godly Single

Jan 10th, 2014 by Dr. Edward L. Hall

It is stated in John 1:12,13 “12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Every individual created by God is loved and they possess God's eternal DNA. So does SINGLE INDIVIDUALS, this is a durable chromosomal link

When we communicate about God’s DNA, we speak in spiritual terms or in parishioner’s terms, which is the “PROTOTYPE” of inherited genetic molecular material for our unique individuality. Our DNA comes from the combination of genes contributed by each of our biological parents. When there is a question in reference to a child’s pedigree, a paternity test, using blood samples from one or both parents, is taken. The results of this test undeniably reveal a child’s biological parents through their similar DNA structure.

As SINGLES, we are made Godly by the power of God Himself through Christ's death on Calvary. The beauty about this is when we received the gift of eternal life through our acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God breathed new life into us; bringing about a spiritual birth and making us GODLY.

Immediately, we received GODLY DNA into our souls in the form of the Holy Spirit. Now, we possess two sets of DNA. One physical set from our EARTHLY PARENTS and one spiritual from our GODLY PARENT.  With GOD’S GODLY DNA inside of us, the divine life of God develops within us deeply.

JOHN 14:26 states, "When the Father sends the Counselor as my representative--and by the Counselor I mean the Holy Spirit--he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I myself have told you." This counselor, the Holy Spirit strengthened us to become holy in all that we commit to in the name and on the behalf of our spiritual parent--God.

Just remember, as SINGLE INDIVIDUALS, in the organic world, DNA is the internal code that maintains the integrity of each multiplied cell. In every organism, DNA is what encodes each cell with its proper process and place in the body.

In the expansion of SINGLES as a growing percentage of the kingdom of God, God’s spiritual DNA in SINGLES maintains the strength, vitality, and reproductivity of every cell in Christ’s body.

The scripture says that SINGLES “…are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9). Just as the DNA is exactly the same in almost every cell of a body, this DNA is the same in SINGLES in the body of Christ, for all its members and in every cell.

The DNA is the pattern of kingdom life, from the microscopic unit to the prodigious unit of individuals in church life. The pattern is the same, and its appearance remains constant in the unique life of SINGLES. SINGLES must live godly because they have GODLY DNA placed on the inside of them by God.
